Pink Cowboy Boots

Lilia got some new pink cowboy boots this week! I found them at a consignment shop for $3 and couldn't pass them up. She loves to wear them and when she does she does what I call her  happy feet dance. She wore them to church today with a sweater her Great Grandma Westover made her, too cute if you ask me.

Beacon Rock

Beacon Rock from the base

Yesterday was a beautiful day! You would never know it's Februrary here in the Northwest, it was sunny and 62.  We put this good weather to use with a nice hike. Casey, Matt's brother, and our little family hiked up Beacon Rock just off the Columbia river.  The rock was discovered by Lewis and Clark and there is a man made trail up to the top. The summit is 850 feet above sea level and the trail leading there is a mile each way. Kaine loved the switch backs and Lilia loved the wind in her face. A good time was had by all.

So many switch backs....
My favorites.
57 switch backs to be exact!

New blog name

It's true if you're reading this you've discovered our new blog name and have probably guessed the news! We are so thrilled to be able to add to our family. We expect the one in the oven should arrive approximately September 23 2010.

I had an ultrasound already, due to some high hormone levels and concerns with my uterus from Lilia's delivery. Everything checked out fine and while my hormone levels are high for this stage in my pregnancy there was only one baby we could see and I am only 8 weeks Friday (It's a bummer because I was thinking more like 10 weeks). We will keep you up to date on Baby Conrad as we learn more, don't expect to know too much, we like a good surprise :)

We love you all!

This is the face she makes when you say "make your monkey face"

They loved the underwater exhibits

I love this

Roaring like lions

We went to the zoo this past weekend with the kids and they had a blast! We wanted to check out the new safari exhibit and we were all impressed. Lilia learned to roar like a lion and Kaine enjoyed leading us around. We can hardly wait for the new orangatan exhibit to open this spring! We love our zoo pass.

Not so sure about this

December was a great month in the Conrad house! It went bye really fast, too fast. We had all sorts of Christmas celebrations with our families. It was wonderful to see everyone. Kaine got to spend Christmas break with his Mom, little brother and all of her family. We saw some snow here on NE 11th Place. Matt and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Lilia had her first sleep over with Grandma Tami and Grandpa Russ and loved it! The month was truly full of excitement. Sorry to update so late, our computer has finally meet it's last day. We are currently using a Mac and well I am still getting used to it. We hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas season, we love you all and hope the New Year is treating you and yours well!
