First Trip to the Zoo

We went on our first trip to the zoo with Lilia today. We had so much fun! We packed a picnic and Grandma Pat and headed out along the trails of the Portland zoo. It was exciting to see all the creatures of this earth, Lilia really enjoyed her first trip among the wild beasts. We saw bob cats, bald eagles, turtles, chimps, wild wart hogs, seals, bears, and fishes galore. The zoo was celebrating Earth day and Kaine snatched up a tiger tooth necklace from the gift shop. Needless to say we can't wait to go back! Grandpa Scott gave us the zoo pass for Christmas and looks like we will be using it often. Thanks Grandpa, we couldn't have asked for anything better.

Oops, I've been meaning to post the kid's Easter pictures.... so here they are. Note there are no pictures of Kaine by himself because as he said he is "getting too big for that." But you'll notice he didn't mind his picture taken so much once he took his shirt off to run in the sprinklers :)

Tulip Festival

This weekend we enjoyed eachother's company and the beautiful fields of tulips at the Woodland Tulip Festival in Woodland WA. There were so many different kinds of tulips and they were all so healthy and colorful. We packed a picnic and went to a near by park for some fun. We love getting out in the sunshine and soaking it up. Spring has arrived.
