Broken Promise, Suprise, and Illness...

Yes it is true, I did break the promise I made last time about being more diligent in posting, but I assure you for good or not so good reasons. Let's see how this all started....The kids and I went with my parents on a road trip to see my brother, JJ, graduate from college in Idaho. We had a great time, we got to meet Aaralynn, the newest cousin, my little niece, and wish them off on their journey to Texas. It was nice to see my brother all grown up, but sad to wonder when I will see him and his little family again with even more distance between us now. Texas for the summer and then Indiana for the next four years for dental school. We also got to stop and spend some time with my Grandparents, my Dad's parents. My Grandma's name is Kay and Lilia misheard that for cake, so she calls her Great Grandparents Grandma Cake and Papa Pie, it was really cute. I was also able to see some of my aunts, uncles, and cousins one evening, and that just made our trip even better. The kids were great! 12 hour car ride each way and they both did amazing, no complaining, just a good time. The pictures from this trip were accidently deleted, I was devistated to say the least. I keep telling myself at least we have the memories and that's what counts, but it would have been nice to see the pictures that went with these memories.

Suprise! And that I was. I can home to a new piano. My sweet Matthew and his Aunt Peggy moved it here while we were away. It is beautiful! The piano has been in the family since Matthew's Nana was a little girl. It is wonderful to have in our home, I feel so blessed. I quickly learned my first song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and we are working on getting some lessons.

Now comes the reason good or bad depending on how you look at it for the long delay on the update. Let me recap a little, we pulled in the driveway late on a Monday afternoon, I was quickly overjoyed by the new treasure in our home, then late that evening I promptly and accidently deleted the pictures of our trip. The next morning the kids and I got up and headed to my prenatal appointment at 8:30 am. The appointment went well, baby is growing great, we heard the heartbeat again, we stopped by the donut store, dropped Kaine off at school, and then drove to Matt's work to see his smiling face we'd missed so much and tell him all about the doctor's appointment. On the way home Lilia started projectile vomiting, in the car while I was driving, not a good combination. Luckily the drive is short from Matt's work to our house, as the morning went on she continued to get sick. She ended up in the ER that afternoon already slightly dehydrated. They gave her some meds to stop the vomiting and we were on our way. I got the flu the next evening and Matt got it early the following day. One good thing about this flu was the time period it lasted, about 12 or so hours, but vomiting is never fun, especially when you are pregnant or when you have to take care of each other sick. Just as I was recovering from the mound of laundry from this illness, the second illness hit our home. Fifth's disease. Sweet little Lilia had caught another bug. She had a high fever, rash, and the works. We went into the doctor's again because her fever was so high and that's when they gave us the diagnosis. It was really scary, not for Lilia so much they told me she would be just fine in about a week, but Fifth's disease can be very dangerous in pregnant women and cause serious complications. So I had some blood work done and a long weekend passed. Turns out I had had Fifth's disease as a child and while I had had a fever like Lilia I couldn't have gotten Fifth's disease again. The best news I'd heard in two weeks! So there it is, the last month summed up. Oh yes and we have started our garden.

 The beautiful family treasure.

Easter

Easter was wonderful this year! We went to the Zoo on Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa Westover for the Rabbit Romp, where Lilia got to pet real bunnies and hunt for eggs. A good time was had by all, although it would have been nicer had the temperature been a few degrees warmer. Sunday, Easter, we woke up and Lilia had a egg hunt around the house, so much fun, and got her gift from the Easter bunny, new play food, it was a hit. We watched General Conference on tv in our pjs and had french toast with Grandma and Grandpa. In the afternoon my parents went home and we headed to Grandma Tami's for a delicious Easter feast. Lilia got to play with her cousin Natalie and see her Uncles and Aunt. We picked up Kaine from his spring break stay with his mom and called it a weekend! We are so excited, this coming week/weekend me and the kids are driving with Grandma and Grandpa Westover to see Uncle JJ graduate, should be exciting, we'll keep you posted.
