Head Count

We counted and they are all here, all four of them! Matt and I feel so very blessed to love and care for these four monsters sweeties. Lilia, Eli and Kaine are thrilled that the holidays are upon us and Levi well he is just a happy boy. With that said we thought we could give you an update on the kids likings, I know a few of you have asked for gift ideas so hopefully this will help....

Kaine

 

 

LOVES music. He is learning to play the viola, guitar, and piano. His skill level has advanced from last year but he is still reading basic music, so any sheet music needs to be simplified or what they call basic.  He said he also might enjoy a cd, artists he likes include Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Bach and anything classical.

enjoys: reading. He  has a Kindle, so maybe accesories or a gift card for more books. Recently he has read the Hunger Games. Lemony Snickets A Series of Unfortunate Events.

DS game he doesn't have, but wouldn't mind having:  Super Mario Brothers 2

favorite characters: The Avengers

favorite animal at the zoo: eagle

favorite subject: orchestra and science

favorite color: black and gold

favorite food: pizza (still, always)

favorite treat: smores

measurements: shoe 6.5 mens , shirt 14 youth, pant  14 regular or 12 husky youth

Lilia

 

 

LOVES creating. Coloring and simple crafts are her favorite. Beads have become a new favorite too. She will color and paint for hours on end. We are working on getting ready for kindergarten next year, she loves alphabet and number work books to practice writing.

 

enjoys: using her imagination. Doctor is still her top choice and she still says when she grows up she wants to be a doctor.  She also enjoys playing outside with her brother, they will bake mud pies and ride bikes for hours.  She has the Loving Family doll house and has asked for more furniure and people to go with it. As of now she has the laundry room and the seasonal living room set, she'd like a kitchen and/or bedroom set or two. And for people she has twin babies, a brother, a girl, and a dad, she'd probably like a mom or the grandparents.

 

favorite books: Eric Carl, Fancy Nancy, and anything "easy to read" as we are working on sounding out letters and words now and she is thrilled to be able to read.

 

favorite characters: Fancy Nancy, Tinkerbell, Brave (Merida), and Tangled (Rapunzel) My Little Ponies, Strawberry Shortcake
 

favorite animal at the zoo: giraffe (two years in a row)

 

favorite color: pink and sparkles

 

favorite food: terriaki chicken

 

favorite treat: York peppermint patty (two years in a row)

Eli

 

LOVES cars, airplanes, motorcycles, trains and of course his Grandpas too.  All of Eli's conversations relate back to these things and people.
 

enjoys: playing outside with his sister and like Kaine Eli enjoys pounding playing the piano and making music. This child will listen/watch music on youtube for the entire afternoon if you let him.

 

favorite books: he is still into board books, he is just starting to enjoy being read to

 

favorite characters: Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater (Cars) Buzz and Woody (Toy Story)
 

favorite animal: bears

 

favorite color: green
 

favorite food: after toast, spanish rice and green beans

 

favorite treat: vanilla ice cream

Levi

 

 

LOVES snuggles. He is the sweetest thing if you ask me.

 

enjoys: a warm bath and a good smile. He is bright eyed and loves being talked to and tickled already.

 

favorite books: not quiet there yet, he just likes napping with them

 

favorite animal: hmm.... Lilia thinks he like the elephants at the zoo "cause he was smilin"
 

favorite food: just mom's milk
 

measurements: currently he is getting ready to wear 6 months, but anything 6 month- 12 months will be helpful.

Family Ideas

 

We LOVE spending time together. Trips to the zoo, park, and a good hike are some of our favorite times together.

We enjoy: a fun movie to watch together or a good competative game, nothing like a Guess Who show down. 

favorite food: the pan is always empty when we have lasagna

measurements: 6 and holding strong :)
 

Please don't feel like you need to get our family something or for that matter any of our kids anything. We are content and feel so blessed with all that we have been given, these are just suggestions for those who have asked.

 

We are looking forward to seeing everyone over the next month or two, until then we send our love.

My Tricks and Treats

It seems like everyone, and by everyone I mean everyone 12 and under in this house, are growing up too quickly, I hardly feel a day over 20.  Just last week Kaine was the sweetest meanest cowboy you ever did meet and yesterday Lilia was that fluffy pink poodle I adored and well Eli and Levi they might as well have been the same baby in the same costume. Can't they stay young and little forever. These children, all four of them, have given me tricks in life and most certainly are my treats.

 

Kaine the huntsman, best part, the whole reason for the costume, the real bow. His smile says it all.

 

 

Lilia the pirate

 

Eli the ? Let's just say he was not into the whole dressing up thing, after being bribed with a tootsie pop he put on the Bob the builder vest.

 

 I love this girl. She did not eat a single piece of candy all evening, instead she organized it all.

 Pumpkins

This is the first year Kaine start to finish carved his own pumpkin, he did great and still has all 10 fingers. I might have grown a grey or two watching.

Mr. Viola

Kaine had his first orchestra concert of the school year and it was awesome. It was nice to see him in his element, so so proud. Side note taking three small children to an orchestra concert is quiet entertaining, they love their big brother so much! Here is a short clip from the concert, it's really hard to spot Kaine, but he is there. 7th grade orchestra fall concert.
