Hanging out

Last Sunday we got to hang out and enjoy Uncle Casey Grandma Tami and Grandpa Russ' company! We had some soup and sandwiches, made juice, and just spent some time together, oh yes and Lilia got her nails painted too!

Long Lost Treasure

This weekend we found the camera we borrowed to take with us to Vegas last summer. The camera was Matt's dads and is much smaller than our beloved monster of a camera and had got stuck up in the closet after our vacation in July without us ever looking at the pictures. Today was our lucky day, we found long lost treasure! It was wonderful to see the pictures and remember Matt and I's warm relaxing four day holiday from life in Vegas this past summer, but the best part was the surprise pictures on the camera from Lilia's birth! As I was looking through the pictures on the camera, there were lots, not just from our Vegas trip, but misc that had been left on there from who knows how long ago or where,  I saw this baby, my first thought was, that is my baby. Then I thought no, could be anyone of Scott's (Matt's Dad) relative's baby. Then I flipped to the next picture and the next and I kept thinking, that is my baby! Of course it was my baby, there was me holding my baby! This was so special to me. We didn't take any pictures of Lilia after she was born at the hospital with our camera. For those of you who don't know Lilia was born under stressful circumstances to say the least, we experienced a severe case of shoulder dystoica, code blue was called out and let's just say Lilia and I are both lucky to be alive. Her birth definatly gave me a new outlook on childbirth and the gift of life. After she was born I really didn't feel up for the camera being out, as the months passed after her birth I wished I could have had a few pictures of those first days (5) we spent at the hospital. Tonight's suprise was like finding treasure, the best treasure a mom could ever hope for.
